The FuelFest Japan car festival was held at the legendary Fuji International Speedway on August 11, 2023. The Speedway Fest and car show is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to get a firsthand glance at over 2,000 finely tuned foreign and domestic high performance cars that entertain thousands of fans while competing on multiple venues, including a dragstrip, a speedway, and a drifting race course.
But, FuelFest Japan is more than just a car show, it includes a full day of car-themed experiences, great food, and live entertainment that will light up all your senses. Some of the top seeded experiences for adrenaline-fueled racing fans include a run on the Speedway’s main course, a light-em-up contest in a 0-200 meter street drag race, or a tail waging car drift contest on the paddock.
The day also offers an opportunity to just kick back with friends, enjoy carny-style food and drinks, watch live entertainment by top acts, and down some tasty libations.
The FuelFest car festival was first established by the late Paul Walker From The Block Buster Hollywood Movie “The Fast & Furious”. Fuelfest was brought together by his brother “Cody Walker” and friend “Tyrese Gibson“. They founded FuelFest to directly support the non-profit disaster relief organization Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW), also initiated by Paul Walker. A portion of the event’s proceeds will go to ROWW, thereby serving a noble cause while providing an unforgettable experience for attendees.
The day will be packed with a series of activities including, but not limited to, car shows, meet-and-greets with ‘fast family’ celebrities, a VIP car demo run, a notable car demo run, a 0-200m drag race, a parade run, and a special live event. There will also be a music stage, movie car exhibits, vendor booths, and abundant food and drink options.
FuelFest offers an immersive experience, appealing to all five senses. Attendees can admire an assortment of cool cars, experience the resonating exhaust sounds, take in the distinctive aroma of engines, enjoy the thrill of driving on a circuit, and savor a variety of delicious cuisine.
The “Fast & Furious” series is a popular action film franchise that focuses on a group of skilled drivers and their adventures involving illegal street racing, heists, and espionage. The series is known for its high-octane car chases, thrilling stunts, and a diverse ensemble cast.
After considerable planning and experience gathering, the overseas FuelFest event is set to occur in Japan for the second time. The event has been organized through the collaborative efforts of Kamiwaza-Japan CEO Tomoya Ichiraku and FuelFest co-founder Cody Walker. It welcomes everyone with a love for cars, films, the “Fast & Furious” series, and specifically, those who admired the late Paul Walker. The preparations for a memorable and enjoyable event have begun, with the intent of creating an unforgettable experience.
FUELFEST CHARITY
A portion of the proceeds from Fuelfest Japan will be graciously donated to Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW). ROWW is a non-profit organization established by the late Paul Walker, renowned star of the Fast & Furious series. His inspiration to create ROWW came in the aftermath of the catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti in January 2010, when he spearheaded a disaster relief team.

PAUL WALKER – ROWW FOUNDER
However, in the days following the disaster, while providing support, Paul recognized a discrepancy between the immediate needs of the victims and the type of assistance that was being provided. He was profoundly moved by this experience, leading him to establish ROWW with a focused objective of ‘Giving Back’, to bridge this gap and more effectively meet the urgent needs of disaster-stricken communities.
