If you were that kid playing Gran Turismo in the 90s and got all excited from Fast and the Furious you’ve probably heard about drifting in Tokyo from the movie Tokyo Drift, but this event allows you to experience the real deal. Although taking place at a designated course instead of on the streets, Odaiba Tokyo Drift brings together Japan’s best drifters this weekend for the season-finale on Saturday, the D1 Grand Prix in Odaiba, with drivers from all over Japan and the World competing in several highly charged races for the grand prize. And on Sunday the D1 World Championship race will bring top drifters back to the track to show off some of their moves for the championship crown. The race lineup also includes freestyle motocross, stunt motorcycle riding team and a super car drift challenge, and visitors could enjoy a variety of performances as well. If you missed this opportunity because you got caught up in Tokyo traffic. Here are the galleries coming at you from D1 GP Drifting Finals(day 1) and Championships(day 2).
